Stimulus Applications Could Overwhelm Grants.gov

The Washington Post reports a possible melt down of Grants.gov under the anticipated 60% increase in application volume caused by the ARRA stimulus funds.  The system, already straining under the weight of recent growth, has experienced system slowness and error messages. All the agencies are being asked to make alternative plans in the event that grants.gov can not handle the load.

WSU researchers applying for federal funding are advised to submit their applications to the WSU Office of Grants & Research Development as far in advance of the agency deadline as possible to allow for contingencies.

See Washington Post for the full article.

  1. We would like to find funding to support students in SAT preparation. Is money available in the stimulus package?
