Abstract: Funding for this grant is from the American Cancer Society's Institutional Research Grant Program (IRG). The major purpose of the Institutional Grant is to encourage young faculty to pursue cancer-related research. IRG grants are intended to support independent self-directed investigators early in their careers, for whom the institution must provide research facilities, resources or space customary for an independent investigator.
